MOVING COSMOS
Again and again it happens before my eyes; they are disappearing— their silent transitions and temporal textures. They pass through bodies deep or shallow, living or dead. We are awake or asleep within the labyrinth of the same dream, tremors of the lightning, quake of the land, fall of an ancient rock from the hillside or of this giant tree— a bird’s cry wades into the woods, I lose its trail. It was thinner than blood. I fail to poem its resonance— what is moving? the earth or its time? I put into the water an unbaked clay-brick. I wait there and watch — what, really, is moving. Those tiny particles, of —water, soil, words inscribed with an iron needle on the clay-brick— the entire cosmos. Poems, as always, are moving, leaving, and parting.
medium: earthen pot, rainwater, fallen leaf, unbaked clay-brick with inscriptions on it.
