right around
the 4th
inning my
old man
would smell
a rally
and become
a kid
banging his
wood seat
or bleating
his gratitude
at an
exiting pitcher
for hanging
a curve
or urging
a player
to sign
my program
the air
peppered
with stroh’s
& cigars
i’ll keep
him there
awaiting the
next rally
